An homage to the leading red grape of Spain, this Tempranillo blend marries the savory, tobacco, and red fruit elements evocative of its homeland with the bright, earthy, dark fruit characters of the Texas High Plains. Spanish for heritage, La Herencia, deftly balances brawny flavors with an elegant structure. Tart black plum and concentrated red cherry aromas are framed by aromas of smoky cigar box. Judicious use of oak reveals hints of vanilla and cedar, leading to a soft, yet earthy finish. A great pairing for grilled meats or mushroom risotto.

This wine is composed of Cinsault, Carignan, and a dash of Viognier—a blend of three heat loving varieties traditionally found in southern France that are perfectly suited to Texas. Cinsault provides the rich, fruit-driven backbone; Carignan adds tannin and a floral, smoky complexity; while Viognier offers a beautiful tropical fruit character on the nose and textural richness on the palate. A Texas alternative for fans of Pinot Noir.

We're very excited to release our very first Texas High Plains Syrah! This wine celebrates the feminine and earthy side of Syrah, with gorgeous tannins and texture—reminiscent of classic Rhône Valley Syrah, but with its own Texas voice. It's slightly peppery, with crunchy blackberry, lavender, and notes of black cherry liqueur.

The best wines from the warm, sun-baked Rhône Valley showcase the best of many different grape varieties in one cohesive blend. This Rhône-inspired blend of Mourvèdre, Carignan, Cinsault, Counoise, and Syrah is no exception. Notes of fresh summer cherries, raspberry, blackberry, and lavender lead to a playful palate with alluring complexity backed by black pepper, spice, and soft, yet lingering tannins on the finish. This wine begs for herb-rubbed lamb loin or fajitas from the grill.

A foundational grape for Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, and many of Italy’s great Super Tuscans, Sangiovese has long had a place at the table in the Old World. This was one of the first varieties planted in the late 1960s by Clint “Doc” McPherson, who had a hunch that a warm climate grape such as Sangiovese could do well in the Texas High Plains. Reminiscent of the rolling hills of Tuscany, but decidedly reflective of the Texas terroir, this wine offers aromas of ripe dark cherry, dark plum, and boysenberry framed by dusty earth, powdered cocoa, and dry, savory herbs. The palate reveals an elegant structure with gentle grip and a long, savory finish.

Fresh and vibrant, this Cinsault bottling is completely oak-free, which means that the juicy, fruit-forward nature of the varietal is front and center. Ultraripe blueberry and raspberry notes mingle with specks of black pepper on the soft and mildly grippy palate. The wine is light bodied and easily quaffable.
